Insanera is also able to transport one other dragon there with her. Insanera can also become shadows, because her body is made of shadows. Also, Insanera can cause a dragon to go slowly insane, it takes dozens of years to work though, and this is only if Insanera hits a vein in the dragon and chooses to do so.

I do think your dragon is quite large, (just from looking at Arcke's) but if you really want her to be. Your dragon will still need to be in touch with the gods, even if she's a loner.
